Hello there! My name is Debra Ann Cruz, CEAP, CEC, LPC, and I am a practicing psychotherapist, counselor, and sex therapist. I am deeply passionate about helping others lead their best, most fulfilling lives, and I love unraveling the human mind, which is how I came to work in psychological care, and also how I came to create the Kama Sutra Love Vault, and the Destiny’s Love Chest series in particular.
I spent years working with patients from all walks of life, and varied demographic backgrounds. And the one thing that always struck me about how they described their personal lives was their approach to their sexual satisfaction. In my experience, people tend to fall into two general categories:
- The ones who’ve dissociated from their sexual life, and still retain old-fashioned notions about sex (e.g. it’s shameful, taboo, generally bad);
- And the ones who saw sex as the epicenter of their existence.
I believe that these two approaches are two sides of the same problem – that these people are not as connected to their sexuality as they should be. This is what Destiny’s Love Chest aims to correct.
The Love Chest is addressed both to singles looking to enrich their sexual experience, and also to couples looking for a deeper connection. In my KSLV work, I particularly focus on Soulmate and Twin Flame relationships.
What are Soulmate and Twin Flame relationships?
When talking about “the one”, we often use the word “soulmate”, often linking it to the idea that two soulmates are two halves of the same whole. That is not true, however. Soulmate relationships happen when two separate souls that are incredibly connected and deeply linked find each other. Whereas twin-flame relationships are the encounter between two people who are so alike, and so connected, that they are, indeed, two halves of the same soul.
Both SM and TF relationships can be very intense, and not always in a good way. Strong emotion can refer to love, adoration and lust, but can also include anger, or even hate in some cases. This often makes for a tempestuous and rocky relationship.

Why SM/TF relationships?
Of course, any couple can learn a great deal from the Kama Sutra, and from my Kama Sutra Love Vault. Anyone is welcome to join up on this journey, and to take what they need from the teachings outlined here.
However, a truly great sexual bond comes from a deeper connection, one often encountered in soulmates and twin-flames. And while it is true that the Kama Sutra can improve any relationship, it requires a soulmate or twin-flame level of attraction and love to reach its full potential.
